Melbourne Weekend

Our eldest daughter lives in Melbourne and my football team was playing in the finals so we went on a visiting, shopping and football weekend to Melbourne.

We flew over on Jetstar, caught a bus to the city and walked to our Hotel room.

We did all the usual site seeing and shopping in the city.

We went out to Dinner that Night with our daughter and her partner.

Michelle took Adam to the Casino to show him how to gamble!!!

Beginners luck would have him win of course.......I was sure to make it clear that there is only one winner when gambling.

The next morning we went to the Queen Victoria Markets.

Then to Sealife Aquarium.

My favourite section was the penguins

Then back to the city for some lunch

And off to the footy at the MCG

We tried a few different seating positions

That was our fun Melbourne weekend.

Snow Day and in Tassie

Tassie had a real cold blast. Actually I think a lot of Australia had a real cold blast but we got snow down to a level that was unheard of in the past, down to 100mtrs in some places.

It even snowed at our house!

So we took the opportunity to head up the mountain a little and have a quick play in the snow.

I wont say a lot, ill simply allow the photos to do the talking.

Never eat yellow snow ;)

Lots of fun was had but it was snowing heavy so we soon enough had to get off the mountain before we got stuck on there!

Hobart June Long Weekend

We like to do a bit of shopping in Hobart from time to time so on the June long weekend we popped down for a look around.

We went straight to our accomodation and spent some time looking around the river.

We had a nice non healthy lunch while shopping!

We had dinner at the restaurant at our accomodation. It was quite nice.

The next day amongst some shopping we played a game of putt putt golf!

And of course dad (me) won ;)
