Day 23 DARWIN Tassie to Darwin

Did I mention we love the climate up north? Maybe we are just deprived of 30 degree days in Tassie but we are finding the weather up here to be perfect. Even though it is in the 30's its very comfortable and really lends itself to swimming, which is what we did, starting of by spending the day at Leanyer Water Park. And its free! We went up and down the water slides as much as we could handle LOL

We had a barby lunch at the park and not long after lunch the lifeguards were frantically getting everyone out of the pool and sirens were going off, we thought a Croc must have found its way into the pool! As it turned out a kid did a poo so they had to close the place down LOL

So we went back to camp and got ready to head into Darwin to the Mindil Beach Markets.

This place is a hype of activity. Lots of stalls selling the usual market stuff and heaps of food stalls in which we all bought something different for tea.

After looking around the Markets we went and watched the sunset at the beach. Once again the place was packed with tourists and a real buzz of activity.

Im not sure what this was about but the kids walked around it and later they lit all the candles.

The sunset wasnt as spectacular as it could have been due to the clouds and burning off smog but still nice enough.

After sunset we went back to the markets and watched a fire show, had a bit more of a walk around and then went back to camp.
